Custom Legendaries
Iconic weapons and mounts, rebuilt as true level 80 endgame prizes with their own quest chains. No realm-first races and no rep-grind walls: walk the road and they are yours.
Ashbringer
Equip: Argent Fury: your melee and ranged attacks have a chance to smite your foe for Holy damage.
When the Four Horsemen fall in 25-player Naxxramas, the Corrupted Ashbringer is yours. Equip it to walk unnoticed among the Scarlet Crusade and speak with Highlord Taelan Fordring in Hearthglen, who begins the questline. Follow the Mograine story to cleanse the blade into the legendary Ashbringer.
Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian
Equip: Engulfing Shadows: your damaging spells have a chance to deal Shadow damage and restore your mana.
Use: Open a portal to Karazhan for your whole group.
Gather the Splinters of Atiesh from the bosses of 25-player Naxxramas, then complete the questline to reforge the greatstaff at full power. A caster weapon, extended here so Shaman can wield it too.
Warglaives of Azzinoth
Set, 2 pieces: Warglaives of Azzinoth: your melee attacks have a chance to unleash a surge of attack speed. Wield both glaives to activate.
Both blades drop from Illidan Stormrage in the Black Temple. Slay the Betrayer and claim the matched pair, rebuilt here as true level 80 weapons and now wieldable by Warriors, Rogues and Death Knights.
Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker
Equip: Thunderfury: your melee attacks have a chance to blast your foe with lightning that arcs to nearby enemies, sundering their Nature resistance and wrapping your target in a cyclone that slows its attack speed.
Recover both Bindings of the Windseeker from the depths of Molten Core, then complete the Thunderaan questline in Silithus to reforge the blade. A one-handed sword any sword-wielding class can carry, itemized as a tank and threat weapon.
Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros
Equip: Your melee attacks have a chance to call down a fallen star that sears your foe.
Equip: Your melee attacks have a chance to erupt in a blast of flame.
Ragnaros in the Molten Core drops the Eye of Sulfuras. Combine it with a Sulfuron Hammer, forged from Sulfuron Ingots, to create the Firelord's weapon: a two-handed mace itemized for Strength damage dealers.
Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury
Equip: Thori'dal generates its own magical arrows and never needs ammunition. Its damage already accounts for the finest arrows, so you lose nothing by wielding it.
Equip: Your ranged attacks have a chance to strike for extra damage.
Thori'dal drops from Kil'jaeden in the Sunwell Plateau, the realm's deadliest foe. A bow bound to the Hunter, who lives and dies by the weapon in this slot.
Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings
Equip: Blessing of Ancient Kings: your healing spells have a chance to shield the target, absorbing damage equal to a portion of the amount healed.
Val'anyr is reforged from the Fragments of Val'anyr that drop across the bosses of Ulduar. Gather the shards and restore the healer's hammer to full power.
Black Qiraji Battle Tank
Complete the full three-shard Scepter of the Shifting Sands chain, bang the Scarab Gong, and become a Scarab Lord to ride the realm's most prestigious mount. Open to everyone, with no realm-first race.
