The Critter Crusader
Your companion pets are done watching from the sidelines. On OnlyFunsWoW every vanity pet can carry real power: companion items drop across the whole game with their own hidden roll of stat bonuses, a class mutation and sometimes a cosmetic aura, and the pet you learn grows to level 50 fighting at your side.
Speak to The Companion Keeper, the realm's Critter Crusader, to inspect every pet you have learned and the hidden roll inside every companion item in your bags.
How it works
- ✦Companion items drop throughout the world. Each carries its own random roll: stats, a class mutation, and a 50% chance of a purely cosmetic visual aura, from ghostly shrouds to elemental flames.
- ✦Use the item to learn the pet permanently. Its roll is locked in when learned; unlearned items can be traded or mailed to other players, so a great roll for another class is worth keeping.
- ✦While your companion is summoned, its rolled stat bonuses and mutation apply to you. Dismiss it and they fade.
- ✦Stat rolls have a bonus side and a penalty side. Each side lands on one stat or splits between two (for example +80/+20 against -100), and all stats across both sides are always different.
- ✦Both sides grow with the companion's level: 2 points per level, up to 100 at level 50. Penalties never push a stat below 1.
- ✦A summoned companion gains experience whenever a kill grants you experience, leveling as you fight.
- ✦Learning a pet you already know replaces its old traits with the new item's roll after a confirmation; its level and experience are kept.
Where companions drop
Every chance below is a real roll made by the server, and companion rewards are built for real players: bots never trigger world, quest or battleground drops, and only real players in your raid raise the boss drop chance.
- ✦Raid bosses and their treasure chests: 20% per kill or chest opened, in every level 60-80 raid. Raiding with other real players adds 5% per extra player, up to +20%.
- ✦Open-world creatures in your level bracket (up to 60, 61-70, 71-80) that still grant experience: 5% from normal creatures, elites, and rares alike.
- ✦Completing quests: 10% per rewarded quest. Dailies, weeklies, and monthlies count; endlessly repeatable turn-ins do not.
- ✦Random battlegrounds: a guaranteed companion item on a win, 25% on a loss or draw.
- ✦The city invasions: Deathguard and Vanguard troops, Dark Ranger lieutenants, and Sylvanas herself all drop companion items at the elite rate, and their kills feed your companion's experience too.
The mutations
Every companion item rolls one mutation: a class-defining power that bends the rules of the game. A mutation benefits its class only, while the companion carrying it is summoned, and it is built for the lone adventurer: mutations are active only while you are the only player inside a dungeon or raid, and stay dormant in the open world, in groups, and in battlegrounds and arenas. Mutations do not scale with companion level, and this list will keep growing: more mutations are on the way.
Paladin: Dual Blessing
- ✦Up to 2 different self-cast blessing families can stay on you at the same time. Normal and Greater ranks of one blessing count as the same family.
- ✦Casting a blessing beyond the limit replaces your oldest active blessing.
Rogue: Solo Execution
- ✦Damaging combo-point finishers (Eviscerate, Rupture, Envenom, Deadly Throw) heal you for 100% of the damage they deal, and Killing Spree strikes do the same. Rupture heals on every tick.
- ✦While your Slice and Dice is active you take 25% less physical and spell damage.
- ✦Only effective damage heals: overkill and absorbed damage do not count.
Shaman: Empowered Shield
- ✦Your elemental shield (Earth, Water, or Lightning Shield) is set to 65 charges when cast.
- ✦While an elemental shield you cast is active, you take 20% less physical and spell damage. Only one elemental shield can be active at a time, as normal.
Hunter: Pet Tank
- ✦Your controlled combat pet's damage generates 5x normal threat and it takes 55% less damage.
- ✦Chimera Shot and Explosive Shot heal you for 100% of the effective damage they deal. Explosive Shot heals on every tick; Aimed Shot does not trigger this healing.
- ✦Disengage grants 30% damage reduction for 5 seconds and instantly cuts your current threat by 50%.
Warlock: Demon Tank
- ✦Your controlled demon's damage generates 5x normal threat and it takes 55% less damage.
- ✦Corruption, Immolate, Curse of Doom, Curse of Agony, Seed of Corruption, and Unstable Affliction ticks heal you for 20% of their effective damage.
- ✦Consuming a Healthstone grants 50% damage reduction for 10 seconds and cuts your current threat by 50%.
Priest: Solo Ward
- ✦Your Power Word: Shield absorbs 5x its normal amount.
- ✦Applying Shadow Word: Pain or Renew grants 35% physical and spell damage reduction for 15 seconds; reapplying either refreshes it.
- ✦The damage reduction applies before absorption, so it also slows your shield's drain.
Mage: Infinite Barrier
- ✦While your own Mana Shield is active, it absorbs 5x its normal amount, absorbing drains no mana, and you take 35% less physical and spell damage.
- ✦Your effective spell damage against creatures heals you for 20% and refunds 10% as mana. Overkill, absorbed or reflected damage, item procs, and pet damage do not count.
- ✦The damage reduction applies before absorption, so it also slows the shield's drain.
Druid: Living Hide
- ✦While a heal-over-time you cast on yourself is active, you take 25% less physical and spell damage. In Bear or Dire Bear Form the reduction does not apply.
- ✦You also regain 2% of your maximum mana every 5 seconds while such a heal-over-time is active.
Death Knight: Eternal Army
- ✦Army of the Dead ghouls last 3x their normal duration.
- ✦Each ghoul has 10x its normally calculated maximum health.
Warrior: Purging Shouts
- ✦Battle, Commanding, Demoralizing, Challenging, and Intimidating Shout each remove up to 2 harmful magic effects from you.
- ✦Only effects a friendly Dispel Magic could remove are purged: curses, diseases, poisons, and undispellable effects stay.
